Meet Karen Strid
Karen graduated from Radnor High School and received a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities and Sciences from Ithaca College in New York. After receiving her B.A., Karen went on to earn a Master’s degree in Psychology from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA. Karen’s thesis work, post-graduate internships, and area of expertise was in treating women diagnosed with eating disorders.
Karen worked in Community Mental Health for several years before leaving the field to pursue a career in sales for The Judge Group. Karen spent over 10 years selling and managing large scale Information Technology projects for various local companies, including PECO and Comcast. While at The Judge Group, Karen achieved #1 status in sales for the company nationally.
BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY
After building her own home in Bryn Mawr, Karen began selling real estate for Berkshire Hathaway in 2014. Within 3 years, Karen established herself in the top 1% of the company in sales, and as of 2021, her team is one of the Top 25 Medium Teams in the Berkshire Hathaway Network as well as the top 0.5% of the company in sales. Seven years into her real estate career, Karen’s areas of focus are luxury property listings on the Main Line, new construction, and vacant land sales.
Due to high levels of success and increasing demand, Karen formed her team in 2017. Karen’s strengths are her personal service and negotiation skills, mixed with a “never quit” work ethic. “Always reachable” and “forever positive” are things past clients have said about Karen.
Karen recently built her home with Pohlig Builders at Ardrossan in Villanova. She resides there with her husband, Erik Strid, an Amherst College grad who owns a private wealth management firm, their three children, Carter, Villanova ‘23 and Episcopal Academy ‘19, Max, Trinity College ’25 and Episcopal Academy ‘21, and Emma, Notre Dame Academy ‘25, as well as the family dogs, a King Charles, Eddie and a Golden Retriever, LuLu.
Karen and her family also enjoy spending time at their home in Avalon NJ.
